Everything about Zoneo, grouped by topic.
General
What is Zoneo?
Zoneo is a 3,800 m² immersive leisure centre in Jemappes (Mons). You’ll find BattleKart (karting in video game mode), Swarms VR (team virtual reality), theArcade Zone and the Lounge Zone, our bar with snacks.
Do I need to book in advance?
It’s highly recommended, especially at weekends: book your slot online to guarantee your place and avoid waiting. Sessions are paid in full when you book.
What are your opening hours?
During term time: from 4 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 1 pm on Wednesday and from 10 am at weekends. We close at 9 pm, except on Friday and Saturday (midnight).
During school holidays: every day from 10 am until 9 pm (midnight on Friday and Saturday).
Where is Zoneo and how do I get there?
Avenue Wilson 415, 7012 Jemappes, just behind the Lidl on Avenue Wilson. Drive into the Lidl car park and head right to the back: you can’t miss the Zoneo logo on the building.
Is there parking?
Yes: 50 free spaces right in front of the centre’s entrance.
Is Zoneo accessible to people with reduced mobility?
The centre is generally accessible. The Lounge Zone and Arcade Zone are fully accessible. BattleKart and Swarms VR are harder to access, as both activities require the use of your arms and legs. Get in touch before your visit and we’ll look at what’s possible together.
Can I eat and drink on site?
Our bar serves cold drinks and snacks. For birthdays, we also have ice cream cakes (chocolate or strawberry).
Booking & payment
How does payment work?
Online: you pay in one go to secure your slot. Easiest for groups: everyone sends their share to the person booking.
On site: everyone can pay their own share, by card or in cash.
How early should I arrive?
Plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your session: time to check in, drop off your things and attend the briefing.
My group size has changed, what should I do?
Let us know at least 48 hours in advance on +32 65 98 20 20 or at info@zoneo.be: we’ll adapt.
Can I get an invoice?
Yes, just ask at info@zoneo.be (or b2b@zoneo.be for companies).
BattleKart
What is BattleKart?
You drive real electric karts on a track with no physical obstacles, fully immersed in worlds projected onto the floor. You control acceleration and braking, and trigger power-ups straight from your steering wheel.
Do I need to wear virtual reality goggles?
No. The circuits and game modes are projected straight onto the track: you see the scenery beneath your wheels.
What are the requirements?
There’s no minimum age, but you need to be at least 1.45 m tall to reach the pedals. Access is difficult above 120 kg or for people with a large build. The karts are single-seaters: you can’t take a child with you.
How long does a session last?
15 minutes in total: 12.5 minutes of play and 2.5 minutes to get in and out of the kart.
How many game modes are there?
Five: BattleRace, BattleSnake, BattleColor, BattleVirus and BattleFoot. Book several sessions to try more than one.
How fast do the karts go?
At a speed adapted to each game phase and to the track. The aim isn’t pure speed but immersion and the thrill of acceleration, even after an opponent’s power-up.
Are the karts safe?
A smart anti-collision system takes control of the kart and brakes whenever necessary. It prevents the vast majority of bumps, which is why you drive without a helmet. Just fasten your seatbelt.
What should I wear?
A casual outfit that’s easy to wash: tyre wear can kick up a little dust. Any cleaning costs are your responsibility.
Isn’t BattleKart mainly for kids?
Not at all. Players aged 10 to 65 have already tried it, and every one of them left with a smile.
Swarms VR
What is Swarms VR?
A futuristic shooter in virtual reality where you fight monsters as a team. You really move around the room and your movements are reproduced live in the game.
What kind of game is it?
Cooperative: you face waves of enemies together. PvE (players versus environment): you only fight the artificial intelligence, never other players. All in a dedicated room with high-end equipment.
How many players can take part?
From 2 to 6 players at the same time.
What are the requirements to play?
Minimum age: 12. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult. The experience is not recommended for people with epilepsy, heart conditions, blood pressure, back, neck or balance problems, or in late pregnancy.
How long does a session last?
About 30 minutes: 5 minutes of briefing and preparation, then 25 minutes of play.
What equipment is provided?
A VR headset, adjustable, and a weapon with a strap. Before the session, take off anything that could get in the way: cap, large bag, bulky accessories.
Arcade Zone
How many machines are there?
13 machines of all kinds: timeless classics, strength and precision games, and games for little ones.
How do the games work?
With tokens bought at the bar, with bulk discounts. Tokens never expire. The Arcade Zone is not included in memberships.
Are there games for children?

Can I eat or drink by the machines?

No, access is free for all our customers, before or after your session.
Can I come just for the bar?

What are the bar’s opening hours?
The same as the centre’s. The bar closes 15 minutes before closing time, so order a little ahead.
Is there table service?
Everything happens at the counter. Order at the bar, we’ll prepare it straight away and you can head back to your seat.
Are children welcome?
Yes, it’s a family-friendly area. We just ask parents to help keep the zone relatively calm.
